CCEBTCM and ITMCTR Successfully Host the Second 2026 Session of TCM SciBridge for Young Scholars
On June 4, 2026, the Exchange Seminar on Open Science Policies and Practices hosted by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China was held in Beijing. Representatives from more than ten domestic and overseas institutions carried out in-depth discussions on development paths and innovative practices of open science via thematic presentations and interactive seminars.
The International Traditional Medicine Clinical Trial Registry (ITMCTR) participated as an invited guest and delivered a keynote presentation titled Policies and Practices for Public Access to Human Clinical Trials in Traditional Medicine. The speech systematically illustrated open sharing policies and practical status of clinical trial data within the traditional medicine field, with a key focus on ITMCTR’s explorations and experience in advancing prospective registration of traditional medicine clinical trial protocols, as well as boosting research transparency and standardization. It further explored how open access policies and methodological tools could boost the dissemination and application of high-quality clinical research evidence for traditional medicine. ITMCTR representatives Zhang Xuefei and Zhang Xiaowen shared insights and held exchanges with participating experts.

This event not only deepened ITMCTR’s comprehension of open science policy trends, but also created an important opportunity for the registry to refine its institutional system and promote high-quality open sharing of clinical research data in traditional medicine in the next stage.
