Objectives of Study：

To evaluate the clinical efficacy and satisfaction of BRF versus micronized purified flavonoid fraction (MPFF) in patients with internal hemorrhoids grades 1 and 2.

药物成份或治疗方案详述：

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

The 190 mg Herbal Bantaoridsidwangtawan formula (BRF), composed of 180 mg / pill of herbal components, was produced and the quality was controlled by the Herbal Medicines and Products Manufacturing Unit, manufactured under GMP PIC/s by Ayurved Siriraj, Center of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand. The BRF group received 5 pills before meals 3 times daily for 14 days. The 500 mg micronized purified flavonoid fraction (MPFF), which consists of micronized diosmin (90%) and other active flavonoids (hesperidin, diosmetin, linarin, and isorhoifolin; 10%) was produced by Servier in France. The MPFF group received 2 MPFF tablets before meals 3 times a day for 4 days and then 2 tablets before meals 2 times a day for 6 days.

Inclusion criteria

Male or female patients aged 19 to 70 years with symptomatic first- or second-degree internal hemorrhoids were eligible. First- and second-degree hemorrhoids were diagnosed by a proctoscope. Patients symptoms included rectal bleeding, prolapse, and pain.

排除标准：

Exclusion criteria：

pregnancy, breastfeeding, disabilities, active cancer treatment, active proctitis, chronic liver disease, renal failure, history of herbal allergy, and concurrent use of certain medicine (fibrinolytics, anticoagulants, and antiplatelet drugs)
