研究目的：

通过随机对照研究，验证居家使用中药蜂蜡疗对缓解膝关节PTOA患者肢体疼痛和功能的效果，拟为膝关节PTOA患者提供一种方便可行、经济实用、效果显著的居家康复方法。

Objectives of Study：

To investigate the efficacy of applying home-based herb paraffin therapy in improving pain and function in patients with knee post-traumatic osteoarthritis.

药物成份或治疗方案详述：

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

纳入标准：

①有膝关节外伤病史，符合中国骨关节炎诊疗指南中创伤性膝关节炎的诊断标准，且严重程度符合X线 Kellgren-Lawrence分级评分系统Ⅰ~Ⅲ级； ②年龄：18~65岁； ③患者自愿参与并签署知情同意书。

Inclusion criteria

(a) with a diagnosis of knee PTOA, X-ray stages II and III osteoarthritis according to the criteria proposed by Kellgren and Lawrence, (b)age 18-65, (c)understood Chinese and be willing to participate in this study.

排除标准：

①非创伤原因导致的膝关节炎或合并其他原因导致膝关节功能障碍的患者； ②重度骨质疏松或伴有严重关节内感染、关节结核、肿瘤的患者； ③有精神异常或其他认知功能障碍的患者； ④妊娠或哺乳期的妇女； ⑤入组前1个月内使用过消炎镇痛类药物的患者。

Exclusion criteria：

(a) with non-traumatic causes of knee OA or other causes of knee joint dysfunction, (b)with severe osteoporosis or severe intra-articular infection, joint tuberculosis, tumor, (c)with psychiatric disorders or other cognitive impairments, (d)pregnant or breastfeeding women, (e)with having used anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs within 1 month before enrollment.

Data collection and Management (A standard data collection and management system include a CRF and an electronic data capture：

Pre-intervention data collection was completed on the day of the patient's enrollment. All participants were required to return to the hospital for follow-up after 4-week treatment. Post-intervention data collection was completed on the day of the follow-up visit. All outcome measures and data analysis were done by one dedicated researcher who was blinded to participant assignment as he did not have contact with participants.
